Slides to TV was built by someone who has spent a career making systems simpler — in the Coast Guard, in contract management and process improvement, and as a volunteer watching good people fight bad tools.

In the Coast Guard, a light that goes dark isn’t an inconvenience — it’s a failure. That’s the standard behind Slides to TV. The TVs restart themselves after a power cut and keep playing straight through an internet outage. And they don’t go stale because the one person who knew how to update them got busy: anyone can keep them current in a minute.
Years of process and system improvement teach the same lesson over and over: every step that isn’t needed is a place where things stall. So the app asks only the questions a slide actually needs, does the design work for you, and gets tested on the least technical person in the building — not the most. If they can’t use it, it isn’t finished.
Contract management is a world of records: who agreed to what, when it happened, and proof that it did. That habit is built into Slides to TV. Every slide remembers who made it and who approved it, every TV keeps count of what it showed, and a sponsor can get a report that proves their ad ran.

Slides to TV started at a community post full of people who volunteer their evenings — running kitchens, hosting events, looking after their own. Every signage tool they tried assumed a designer, a tech person, and time nobody had. Giving back meant building the opposite: something the next volunteer can pick up in an afternoon, with an approval step so nothing goes up unchecked.
It’s also why nonprofit posts, lodges and churches get their own Community plan: $49 a month for up to 5 TVs.
