📺 Slides to TV — Privacy Policy

The short version

Slides to TV shows an organization's own announcement slides on its own televisions. We collect the minimum needed to run that service. We show no ads, use no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and never sell personal information or share it for advertising.

What the TV app collects

• A random device identifier — a made-up code (UUID) the app invents on first launch so our server can tell TVs apart. It is not tied to any person and contains no hardware serial numbers.
• Pairing and status information — the pairing code shown on screen, which organization claimed the TV, app version, uptime, and free storage space, so the organization's dashboard can show whether its TV is online and healthy.
• Playback counts — which slides actually displayed and how many times per day ("proof of play"), so organizations can confirm their announcements ran.
• IP addresses — received automatically by our server whenever any device connects to it, and kept in routine server logs.

The TV app does not collect names, emails, contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera data — it has no access to any of those.

What the website collects

• Account details for organization members: name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• The content your organization uploads: slides, artwork, logos, and the event details typed into the slide creator.
• Service emails — we send approval notifications, password resets, and screen-offline alerts to addresses your organization's administrators added.

How information is used

Only to operate the service: displaying your slides on your screens, showing your dashboard, and sending the service emails above. We do not advertise, profile, sell, or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers below. Data is stored on our own servers.

Service providers

Like nearly every online service, we rely on a small number of providers to run Slides to TV, and they process data only on our instructions to provide the service:

• Hosting — our servers and databases run at a commercial hosting provider.
• Email delivery — service emails (password resets, approval and screen-offline notices) are sent through an email delivery provider.
• AI artwork (OpenAI) — when someone chooses AI-generated artwork, the slide's event text (and, if provided, a flyer photo or a public event-page description) is sent to OpenAI to generate the image. Account passwords and member lists are never sent.
• Weather (Open-Meteo) — if your organization turns on the clock-and-weather corner, your organization's town or zip code (never any personal data) is used to fetch the local temperature.

None of these providers may use your data for their own advertising, and we do not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs on the website or in the app.

How we protect information

Connections to the service use HTTPS encryption. Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes. TV player devices authenticate with random tokens that your administrators can revoke instantly from the dashboard, and each organization's content and data are kept separated from every other organization's. No online service can promise perfect security, but access to production systems is restricted to the people who operate the service.

Data retention and deletion

• Disconnecting a TV in the dashboard immediately invalidates that device's access. Uninstalling the app deletes everything stored on the TV.
• Organization administrators can remove slides, members, and screens at any time in the dashboard.
• Playback ("proof of play") logs are kept for a limited period that your organization's administrator can configure, then purged automatically.
• To request deletion of an account or an entire organization and its content, email AdvancedSupport@ComplianceCoaches.com — we will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.

Your rights and choices

You may ask us at any time to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will honor the request within 30 days as the law requires. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in U.S. state privacy laws, so there is nothing to opt out of. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Slides to TV is a business tool for organizations and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date; material changes will be highlighted on the dashboard or by email.
